Happy 3rd Birthday James - Take One

Well, it happened. James survived three years with us. He lived through the trial and error of his infant years, the "sure, we'll bring him - he can sleep anywhere" days of his toddler hood, and most recently, he survived the embarrassment and humiliation of potty training. Well done, kiddo, well done.

So, what do you do for such a sweet boy turning such a BIG age? We threw him a little party, of course. Nothing fancy, just us and Uncle Kevin and a couple of fun activities....

Like a Fun Slide...

and motorcycle rides....

and what three year old's birthday would be complete without a dragon roller coaster and a ferris wheel? (that's James in the back)
you know, just a little something we threw together....

HA! Don't be ridiculous! We're saving all that stuff for when he turns FOUR.... We DID do all those things on James' birthday, but it was a part of a festival just down the road from our house.

Earlier that day, we did a more appropriate birthday party at our house....

It was brunch time so I thought it would be great to do yogurt parfaits in wine glasses (James' was plastic) and a banana bread cake. You can see here, how much James loved the yogurt parfait idea....
he really DID love all the legos....

Cute party guest, sister Molly. OR Mawwwwy as she is called by James.
and of course, after 1 gazillion thwarted attempts at touching the cake, James blew out the candles and immediately did this:
Happy birthday big boy.

CELEBRATION AFTER ANOTHER CELEBRATION- THAT IS THE LIFE IN THE COYNE FAMILY. When James is a full time student he might wonder where all the celebrations went. Lucky you all live where each day has an avenue for a celebration. Congratulations on your enjoying each one and a day of rest for Steph & Brian after all are completed. Enjoy while you can, life goes by very quickly and treasure the memories of what you creating.

Remind me not to eat any cake at your house.
