The kids LOVED the beach. James was so excited that we had to go to the beach right when we got there. 5pm on Friday. Chilly and windy, but I don't think they had any idea. Molly surprised us by not putting any sand in her mouth. The whole weekend!
Here she is checking it out....
Talking on a "seashell phone" This was very popular all weekend.
She answered a LOT of calls on the beach.

Day two: Uncle Kevin took us to Allaire State Park - an 1800s living history museum founded by famed marine engine manufacturer, James P. Allaire.
and there was a TRAIN!
This was special spot in the caboose "for kids only." One small problem, it was about eight feet in the air, accessible only by a vertical ladder and both kids wanted to sit there. So, Brian had to stand guard at the opening for the entire train ride.
We did finally convince Molly to sit in the main part of the train where she squirmed and wormed the entire time. Uncle Kevin, father of three, handled it like a champ!
James spent a lot of time running from the water, which was completely justified considering it was about 20 degrees below freezing.
Good times.
Thanks Uncle Kevin!
